2023年（令和5年）5月2日から、秋田市議会議員に就任し、議員バッチと議員手帳をいただきました。議員バッチは、正式には、議員徽章（ぎいんきしょう）という名称のようです。秋田市議会は、全国市議会議長会が出している全国共通の議員バッジを使用しており、真ん中に「市」の文字を配し、周辺を左ひねりの10枚の菊花弁が囲っています。台座はあずき色のモールで覆われています。ピンタイプで、裏金具（留め具）がついています。きっと高価なものだから紛失したらやだな、と思っていたら3,000円ちょっと（約25ドル）で買えるとのことで、ちょっとほっとしました。秋田市民の皆様のご負託に応えられるように誠心誠意頑張って参りますので、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします！
“I have been appointed as a member of the Akita City Council.”
Starting from May 2, 2023 (Reiwa 5), I received a council member badge and council member notebook upon taking office. The council member badge is officially called the “giin kisho” (council member emblem). The Akita City Council uses a council member badge that is commonly used throughout Japan and issued by the National Association Chairpersons of City Councils, with the letter “市” (city) in the center and ten twisted chrysanthemum petals surrounding it. The base is covered in a red-brown mole. It is a pin type with a fastener on the back. I was relieved to find out that it costs only a little over 3,000 yen (approximately 25 USD) because I thought it must be expensive and would be a shame to lose. A partir del 2 de mayo de 2023 (Reiwa 5), recibí un distintivo de miembro del consejo y un cuaderno de miembro del consejo al tomar posesión del cargo. El distintivo de miembro del consejo se llama oficialmente “giin kisho” (emblema de miembro del consejo). El Consejo de la Ciudad de Akita utiliza un distintivo de miembro del consejo que se usa comúnmente en todo Japón y que es emitido por la Asociación Nacional de Presidentes de los Consejos Municipales, con la letra “市” (ciudad) en el centro y diez pétalos de crisantemo retorcidos que lo rodean.
