4月から5月にかけては各種団体の総会の時期で、
秋田ユネスコ協会の総会
秋田県バドミントン協会の総会
保護司秋田中央支部総会
勝平地区内の各町内会の総会・懇親会
などがあり出席してきました。
特に、秋田ユネスコ協会では総会の前に例年講演が行われており、昨年度は自分が講演しましたが、今年度は国際教養大の堀井里子准教授による「外国人受入れと地方からの視点」という講演を拝聴しました。私は、秋田ユネスコ協会の理事に今年度から就任しました。
また、自衛官募集相談員に就任しました。娘が自衛隊の音楽隊に在籍していたこともあり自衛官募集相談員になってくれないかというお願いが自衛隊からありましたので二つ返事で引き受けましたが、就任式は秋田市と自衛隊が共同で執り行っており、穂積市長から委嘱状を手渡しされました。市長から直接とは全く知らなかったので少しびっくりしました。（私よりも市長がびっくりしていたことでしょう笑）

It’s the season for various organizations’ general meetings from April to May
During April and May, various organizations hold their general meetings, including the Akita UNESCO Association, the Akita Badminton Association, the Akita Central Branch of Probation Officers, and the general meetings and social gatherings of various neighborhood associations in the Katsuhira district, all of which I attended.
In particular, the Akita UNESCO Association usually holds a lecture before its general meeting, and last year I gave the lecture. This year, I listened to a lecture titled “Acceptance of Foreigners and Perspectives from Local Areas” by Associate Professor Satoko Horii of Akita International University. I have been appointed as a director of the Akita UNESCO Association starting this fiscal year.
Furthermore, I have also been appointed as a Self-Defense Forces recruitment counselor. Because my daughter was a member of the Self-Defense Forces music band, I was asked by the Self-Defense Forces if I would consider becoming a recruitment counselor. I gladly accepted the request, and the inauguration ceremony was jointly conducted by the Akita City and the Self-Defense Forces, where I was handed a letter of appointment by Mayor Hozumi. It was quite surprising to receive it directly from the mayor, as I had no prior knowledge about it. (I’m sure the mayor was equally surprised!)

Es la temporada de las reuniones generales de varias organizaciones de abril a mayo
Durante abril y mayo, varias organizaciones llevan a cabo sus reuniones generales, incluyendo la Asociación UNESCO de Akita, la Asociación de Bádminton de Akita, la Sucursal Central de Oficiales de Libertad Condicional de Akita, y las reuniones generales y encuentros sociales de varias asociaciones vecinales en el distrito de Katsuhira, a las cuales asistí.
En particular, la Asociación UNESCO de Akita suele organizar una conferencia antes de su reunión general, y el año pasado di la conferencia. Este año, escuché una conferencia titulada “Aceptación de Extranjeros y Perspectivas desde las Áreas Locales” impartida por la Profesora Asociada Satoko Horii de la Universidad Internacional de Akita. He sido nombrado director de la Asociación UNESCO de Akita a partir de este año fiscal.
Además, también he sido nombrado consejero de reclutamiento de las Fuerzas de Autodefensa. Debido a que mi hija fue miembro de la banda de música de las Fuerzas de Autodefensa, las Fuerzas de Autodefensa me preguntaron si consideraría ser consejero de reclutamiento. Acepté con gusto la solicitud, y la ceremonia de inauguración fue realizada conjuntamente por la Ciudad de Akita y las Fuerzas de Autodefensa, donde el alcalde Hozumi me entregó una carta de nombramiento. Fue bastante sorprendente recibirlo directamente del alcalde, ya que no tenía conocimiento previo al respecto. (¡Seguro que el alcalde también quedó igualmente sorprendido!)
