秋田ユネスコ協会の理事として、2026年1月25日（日）に、JR秋田駅東西連絡自由通路「ぽぽろーど」で行われたユネスコ世界寺子屋運動募金および書き損じはがき回収キャンペーンに参加しました。
この取り組みは、世界各地で教育の機会を得られない人々を支援する国際的な活動で、今年も秋田ユネスコ協会の会員の皆さんとともに実施しました。高校生からご年配の方まで、幅広い世代の方が交代で参加し、寒さの厳しい中でも声をかけ合いながら活動を続けました。
当日の気温はマイナス4度。さらに風が強く、体感温度はそれ以上に低く感じられる厳しい環境でしたが、それでも多くの市民の皆様が足を止め、募金や書き損じはがきをお寄せくださいました。皆様の温かいお気持ちが、活動を支える大きな力となりました。
昨年に続き、若い世代と共に国際支援活動に取り組むことができたことは、大変意義深い経験でした。教育支援を通じて世界とつながるこの活動は、地域に根ざしながらも国際社会に貢献できる貴重な機会であり、改めてその重要性を実感しました。
ご協力いただいたすべての皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。今後も、次世代を担う若者と共に、教育支援や国際協力の取り組みを継続していきたいと考えています。

I Participated in the UNESCO World Terakoya Fundraising Campaign
As a board member of the Akita UNESCO Association, I took part in the UNESCO World Terakoya fundraising and used postcard collection campaign on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The event was held at “Popol Road,” the free passage connecting the east and west sides of JR Akita Station.
This activity is an international effort to support people around the world who do not have access to education. This year again, we worked together with members of the Akita UNESCO Association. People of many ages joined us, from high school students to senior members. Even in the severe cold, we encouraged each other and continued our activities.
The temperature that day was minus 4 degrees Celsius. With the strong wind, it felt even colder. Despite the harsh weather, many citizens stopped to donate money or give us used postcards. Their warm kindness gave us great strength and encouragement.
For the second year in a row, I was able to work with young people in this international support activity. It was a very meaningful experience. Through educational support, this activity connects our local community with the world. It is a valuable opportunity to contribute to global society while staying rooted in our region. I once again felt how important this work is.
I sincerely thank everyone who supported us. I will continue working together with young people to promote educational support and international cooperation in the future.

Participé en la campaña de recaudación del Movimiento Terakoya de la UNESCO
Como miembro directivo de la Asociación UNESCO de Akita, participé en la campaña de recaudación y recolección de postales usadas del Movimiento Mundial Terakoya de la UNESCO, realizada el domingo 25 de enero de 2026. La actividad se llevó a cabo en “Popol Road”, el pasillo que conecta los lados este y oeste de la estación JR de Akita.
Esta actividad es un esfuerzo internacional para apoyar a personas en diferentes partes del mundo que no tienen acceso a la educación. Este año nuevamente trabajamos junto con los miembros de la Asociación UNESCO de Akita. Participaron personas de distintas edades, desde estudiantes de secundaria hasta adultos mayores. A pesar del frío intenso, nos animamos mutuamente y continuamos con la actividad.
Ese día la temperatura fue de menos 4 grados Celsius. Además, el viento fuerte hacía que se sintiera aún más frío. Aun así, muchas personas se detuvieron para hacer donaciones o entregar postales usadas. La calidez y generosidad de la ciudadanía nos dieron mucha fuerza y motivación.
Por segundo año consecutivo, pude participar en esta actividad de apoyo internacional junto a jóvenes. Fue una experiencia muy significativa. A través del apoyo educativo, esta actividad conecta a nuestra comunidad local con el mundo. Es una valiosa oportunidad para contribuir a la sociedad global mientras seguimos arraigados en nuestra región. Una vez más, sentí la gran importancia de este trabajo.
Expreso mi más sincero agradecimiento a todas las personas que colaboraron. Seguiré trabajando junto con la juventud para promover el apoyo educativo y la cooperación internacional en el futuro.
