青年海外協力隊秋田県OB会は、JOCV（青年海外協力隊）60周年を記念して、異文化体験イベントを11月15日（土）に開催しました。当日は高校生から社会人まで、多くの方にご参加いただき、会場は終始、活気ある雰囲気に包まれました。
最初のプログラムでは、異文化理解ワークショップ「バファバファ」を体験。私がメインのファシリテーターを務めました。参加者は設定したそれぞれの“国民役”になりきり、楽しみながら異文化との向き合い方を学びました。「こんなに世界が違って見えるとは思わなかった！」という感想も寄せられました。
休憩を挟んで、昭和・平成・令和の各時代に海外で活動した協力隊OB・OGによるパネルディスカッションを実施しました。タイ、フィリピン、カンボジア、コスタリカ、スリランカ、ハンガリー、モザンビーク、ルワンダなど、さまざまな国での体験談が語られ、参加者は熱心に聞き入っていました。ここでも私はパネリストとして登壇しました。異文化の中で働く難しさや、協力隊として得た学びなど、リアルで深い話が多くの方の印象に残ったようです。
今回のイベントを通じて、「秋田にいながら世界を体験できた」「海外協力への関心が高まった」という声も多く寄せられました。ご参加いただいた皆さま、運営にご協力くださった関係者の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。

Nov. 15 – JOCV Akita OB Association: 60th Anniversary Event
The JOCV Akita OB Association held an intercultural experience event on Saturday, November 15, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV). Many people—from high school students to working adults—joined the event, and the room was full of energy all day.
The first program was an intercultural workshop called “Bafa Bafa.” I served as the main facilitator. Participants acted as “citizens” of two imaginary cultures and learned, in a fun way, how different cultures can feel. Some people said, “I didn’t know the world could look so different!”
After a short break, we held a panel discussion with former JOCV members who worked overseas in the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras. They shared their experiences from countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, Hungary, Mozambique, and Rwanda. I also joined the panel as a speaker. Many participants were deeply interested in the stories about the challenges of working in another culture and what volunteers learned abroad.
Through this event, many participants said they “felt like they experienced the world while staying in Akita” and “became more interested in international cooperation.” I sincerely thank everyone who joined the event and all the people who helped make it happen.

15 de noviembre – Evento del 60.º aniversario del JOCV, organizado por la Asociación de Exvoluntarios de Akita
La Asociación de Exvoluntarios del JOCV en Akita realizó un evento de experiencia intercultural el sábado 15 de noviembre para celebrar el 60.º aniversario del Programa de Voluntarios Japoneses en el Extranjero (JOCV). Muchas personas, desde estudiantes de secundaria hasta profesionales, participaron y el ambiente estuvo lleno de energía durante toda la jornada.
El primer programa fue un taller intercultural llamado “Bafa Bafa”. Yo fui el facilitador principal. Las personas participantes actuaron como “ciudadanos” de dos culturas imaginarias y aprendieron, de una manera divertida, cómo se sienten las diferencias culturales. Algunos comentaron: “¡No pensé que el mundo pudiera verse tan distinto!”.
Después de una breve pausa, se realizó un panel con exvoluntarios del JOCV que trabajaron en el extranjero durante las eras Shōwa, Heisei y Reiwa. Compartieron experiencias de países como Tailandia, Filipinas, Camboya, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, Hungría, Mozambique y Ruanda. Yo también participé como panelista. Muchas personas escucharon con mucho interés los relatos sobre los desafíos de trabajar en otra cultura y los aprendizajes obtenidos como voluntarios.
Gracias a este evento, muchas personas dijeron que “sintieron que vivieron una experiencia internacional sin salir de Akita” y que aumentó su interés en la cooperación internacional. Agradezco de corazón a todas las personas que participaron y a quienes colaboraron en la organización.
