2025年5月6日（火・祝）に、秋田ユネスコ協会主催事業で、私が講師で、ユネスコ活動における国際協力・理解講座および、開発途上国を題材とした国際協力ワークショップを秋田市東部市民サービスセンター（いーぱる）で行いました。
国際協力の分野で将来働きたいと思っている高校生が秋田ユネスコ協会に入って活動したい、とやってきたことから、国際協力の潮流や概要、その分野に必要なスキルを簡単に紹介して学ぶ講座を企画することになりました。参加型の手法の紹介、ファシリテーターについてなどの概要を説明した後、みんなでワークショップを通してkj法などを体験しました。
参加人数は5人でしたが、私がファシリテーターになってみんなでワイワイ盛り上がり、とても良い講義・ワークショップになりました。
「国際協力を目指すには、どんなことを学んだ方がいいのか」というニッチ？な質問には、経験上様々なことを伝えられるくらいの年齢になりました。数年前までは、自分が開発途上国のために自分が何かをしたいと強く思っていましたが、今は地域のために自分の経験を生かし、次世代が目指す時にサポートしていきたいと思っています。
KJ法：たくさんの意見やアイデアを紙に書き出し、グループに分けて整理する方法です。考えをまとめるのに使います。
ファシリテーター：話し合いやグループ活動をスムーズに進める手助けをする人です。まとめ役とも言えます。

May 6, 2025 – We Held a UNESCO Workshop
On Tuesday, May 6th, which was a public holiday, I gave a lecture and workshop hosted by the Akita UNESCO Association. The event took place at the Akita East Community Center (E-Pal). The topic was international cooperation and understanding through UNESCO activities. We also did a workshop using developing countries as examples.
This event started because a high school student who wants to work in international cooperation in the future came to the Akita UNESCO Association and said, “I want to get involved!” So, I planned a class to explain the basic ideas of international cooperation, the current trends, and the skills needed in this field.
After introducing some participatory methods and talking about what a facilitator does, we tried a workshop together using the KJ method. There were five participants, but we had a fun and active time. I worked as the facilitator, and it became a great workshop.
One student asked, “What kind of things should I study if I want to work in international cooperation?” I’m now old enough to share advice based on my own experience. A few years ago, I strongly wanted to help developing countries myself. Now, I want to support young people by sharing my experience so they can aim for that path in the future.
KJ Method
A method to organize many ideas by writing them on cards, grouping similar ones, and finding patterns. It helps with thinking and planning.
Facilitator
A facilitator helps a group work smoothly by guiding discussions and keeping things on track.

6 de mayo de 2025 – Realizamos un taller de la UNESCO
El martes 6 de mayo, feriado en Japón, di una charla y un taller organizados por la Asociación UNESCO de Akita. El evento fue en el Centro de Servicios Comunitarios del Este de Akita (E-Pal). Hablamos sobre la cooperación internacional y el entendimiento a través de las actividades de la UNESCO. También hicimos un taller usando ejemplos de países en desarrollo.
Todo empezó porque una colegiala que quiere trabajar en cooperación internacional vino a la asociación y dijo: “¡Quiero participar!”. Entonces, preparé una clase para explicar lo básico de la cooperación internacional, las tendencias actuales y las habilidades necesarias en ese campo.
Después de hablar sobre métodos participativos y qué hace un facilitador, hicimos un taller en grupo usando el método KJ. Solo fueron cinco personas, pero fue muy animado y divertido. Yo fui el facilitador y salió muy bien.
Una de las participantes me preguntó: “¿Qué debería estudiar si quiero trabajar en cooperación internacional?”. Ahora tengo suficiente experiencia para dar consejos. Hace algunos años, yo también quería hacer algo directamente por los países en desarrollo. Hoy en día, quiero usar esa experiencia para apoyar a los jóvenes que tienen ese sueño.
KJ Method
Es una técnica para organizar ideas: se escriben en tarjetas, se agrupan las similares y se buscan patrones. Ayuda a pensar mejor y planificar.
Facilitador
Un facilitador ayuda al grupo a trabajar bien, guiando las discusiones y manteniendo el orden de la actividad.
