令和7年4月8日（火）、晴れのよき日に秋田市立秋田商業高等学校の入学式に来賓で参加してきました。今年の秋商の1年生は背の高い子が多い気がしました。部活が強い学年になりそうですね。
新入生入場の音楽とともに生徒さんたちが入場してくるタイミングで、ステージの緞帳（どんちょう）が開かれた瞬間にステージに並ぶ優勝旗の数の多さよ！ 昨年度のインターハイの選手団に最大の人数を送り込んだ秋商の圧巻の姿とも言えます。入学した生徒さん達は誇らしさと同時に、伝統を引き継ぐ重さも感じたことでしょう。
新入生代表の女の子の挨拶も素晴らしいものでした。秋商で取得できる資格を全部取ると9種類とのことで、9冠を目指すし、さらに文武両道で部活も頑張るとの挨拶。高い目標を掲げて、秋商の校訓である、感謝・勤勉・鍛錬、を心に刻んで生活していく、とのこと。ちょっと前まで中学生だった子とは思えないなぁと感激しながら聴いていました。
また今年度もユネスコスクールである秋商と、授業やワークショップに関わっていきたいと思っています。楽しみです！

Entrance Ceremony at Akita Municipal Akita Commercial High School
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, I attended the entrance ceremony at Akita Municipal Akita Commercial High School as a guest. It was a beautiful sunny day. I noticed that many of the new first-year students looked tall. Maybe this year’s group will be strong in sports!
As the entrance music started and the new students walked into the hall, the stage curtain opened—and wow! So many championship flags were lined up on stage! Akisho (Akita Commercial High School) had the largest number of athletes going to last year’s national high school sports tournament. That impressive history must have made the new students feel both proud and responsible to carry on the school’s tradition.
The speech by the new student representative, a girl, was amazing. She said there are 9 different qualifications you can get at Akisho, and she wants to get them all! She also said she’ll try her best in both study and sports. She spoke about living with the school’s three core values: gratitude, hard work, and self-discipline. I couldn’t believe she was in junior high just a short while ago. I was very impressed.
This year too, I hope to continue working with Akisho, which is a UNESCO School, by joining in on classes and workshops. I’m really looking forward to it!

Ceremonia de Ingreso en el Colegio Comercial Municipal de Akita
El martes 8 de abril de 2025, asistí como invitado a la ceremonia de ingreso en el Colegio Comercial Municipal de Akita (Akisho). Fue un día soleado y hermoso. Me pareció que muchos de los nuevos estudiantes de primer año eran bastante altos. ¡Parece que será una generación fuerte en deportes!
Cuando comenzó la música de entrada y los nuevos estudiantes entraban al salón, se abrió el telón del escenario y ¡guau! ¡Había una gran cantidad de banderas de campeonatos en el escenario! El año pasado, Akisho fue el colegio que más estudiantes envió a los torneos deportivos nacionales. Esa historia tan impresionante seguramente hizo que los nuevos estudiantes sintieran tanto orgullo como responsabilidad de continuar con la tradición.
El discurso de la representante de los nuevos estudiantes, una chica, fue increíble. Dijo que en Akisho se pueden obtener 9 diferentes certificaciones, y que quiere lograrlas todas. También mencionó que se esforzará tanto en los estudios como en los deportes. Habló de vivir con los tres valores fundamentales del colegio: gratitud, esfuerzo y disciplina. Pensé: “¡ No parece que hasta hace poco estaba en la secundaria!” Me conmovió mucho.
Este año también me encantaría seguir participando con Akisho, que es una Escuela UNESCO, en clases y talleres. ¡Tengo muchas ganas!
